AutonoMe supports individuals to develop daily living skills and provides local authorities quantitative data on service users’ current abilities in managing a range of daily living tasks and real-time progress towards the individual’s agreed outcomes in daily living skills. AutonoMe data supports evidence-based commissioning which reduces the risk of planning for too many or too few hours of support.

AutonoMe enables vulnerable adults and young people to increase their independence through instructional videos accessed via a mobile app and provides local authority Children and Adult Social Services with data on service users’ support needs; enabling them to provide more personalised, efficient services. AutonoMe supports service users in a variety of settings including young people transitioning into supported or independent living and adults transitioning from residential settings into move-on or supported accommodation; this can include shared accommodation or individual support living services.

Outcomes AutonoMe provides:

1.

AutonoMe reduces the demand on support workers and parent carers; support workers have capacity to focus on the more complex tasks and parent carers get a break.

2.

AutonoMe provides support workers, parents/carers with a clear and easy to access plan of how to support service users to develop independent living skills.

3.

The service user’s tracked progress gives parent carers a greater level of confidence in the capacity of their loved one and equips them with the skills they need to move forward.

Heres A Story From A Parent

The App

The AutonoMe app gives access to tailored video content created by our team of experts; step-by-step instructions on a range of independent living skills (aligned to categories of eligible need and ASCOF measures) direct to learners whenever they need them. The app also collects self-reported progress data direct from learners.

The Development Coordinator (DC)

An AutonoMe Development Coordinator will work with a learner (remotely or face to face) to undertake an initial assessment and identify with them (and their supporters) the skills they want to acquire. They will continue to work with the learner, and their support network, for as long as they choose to use AutonoMe. In this way we can build up an incredibly detailed picture of progress and adapt the system as the learner’s independence grows.

The Data Dashboard

The AutonoMe data dashboard provides real-time data on learners’ journey towards independence; enabling success to be recognised and decisions on the support needs to be based on clearly evidenced outcomes.
